- Has a distinguished mention in the " Architecture in Stone " contest, for works completed in Portugal, culminating in an exhibition in FIL, Lisbon. The work referred to was the conversion of a watermill into a residential home in Monchique
1993/94
- Theoretical work on "Colour in the Lagos architecture ", published in a supplement to the catalogue for the exhibitions in Lagos Cultural Centre (March to June - 94) and in the Exhibition Room of Árvore Cooperative in Porto (July to August - 94)
1996
- Awarded 3rd prize as architect for Oblíqua-Arquitectos, Lda, in the contest for ideas for the historical centre of Monchique
1997
- Awarded 1st prize as project coordinator for Oblíqua-Arquitectos, Lda in the contest for the renovation of the Avenida fish market in Lagos
